“It promises to be a very busy agricultural show indeed. The people of the County and beyond are certainly getting behind the event,” said Show committee Chairman, David Lloyd.
With over 1,000 animals already entered in the various competitions, (450 horses, 470 sheep, 170 cattle & 30 pigs), show officials are delighted with the entries and all eyes now are on a favourable weather forecast to support everyone’s hard work in staging the show.
“We have had people coming forward as new stewards which is very heartening while trade space is filling up very quickly indeed despite the recession” added Mr Lloyd.
In keeping with Show’s commitment to support youth and excellence in agriculture, children Under 16 will go in free with all other adults paying the £7.50 admission fee.
Members, traders, livestock exhibitors and sponsors have been issued with a showground plan to help ease of traffic movement but you can also view it via the link at the top of the page.
